Week 12 was a quiet week for us. We experienced some extreme weather which fortunately did not affect us any more severely than being confined to home for a morning waiting for the water to go down on the street outside. Many more people only a 10 minute drive away experienced devastating and unexpected winds resulting in the loss of their homes.
A rare picture of me this week, snapped by a friend as we sat at a cafe while it was pouring with rain.
I love this picture of Sawyer trying to crawl. I have had all sorts of troubles with my printer this week with pictures printing at random sizes. This one is Β smaller than 4×6 but I’m leaving it as is (not easy for my type A personality but I’m getting better this year…!).
In the second half of the week is a picture from the regular ‘wine night’ with a little piece of the wine bottle label. The blue pull tab is attached to a card with some private journalling.
I din’t think I would be doing an insert this week but then on sunday Flynnie took part in his first fishing competition and I ended up with a lot of photos including a really nice one of him and Neal (and the fish)!
I printed it out at 8×10, matted it with a piece of the Cobalt kit paper and put it in an American Crafts 8.5×11 page protector.
On the reverse side is a collage of some of the other pictures I took.
Thanks for visiting! As usual I would love to hear your comments π

Really love your pages! The big fish picture is so awesome:) I struggle with having a presence in my book too–most of the time the only one with me is the baby and I haven’t taught her yet how to hold the camera! My older daughter likes to take pictures…but I only let her do that when I am at least showered and out of sweatpants. As you can imagine…this isn’t often!

It is so difficult Heather! I am determined this year after looking through last year’s book and realising that there were very very few pictures of me. I am always the one with the camera, plus I don’t like having my picture taken!

I really enjoyed your layout especially your digital elements. I didn’t do my pages for last week because I didn’t take more than 3 pictures but your beautiful pages remind me that text is a good thing too! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Kristin – I used to really struggle with the journalling but This year I am just letting it happen and it has been much easier.
